A Treasure Above

You are trying to get a treasure that is out of reach... With limited tools, a magical trinket, and anything you can find around you that might be helpful, you are going to get that treasure and escape danger along the way!

This was made for the Waverly Public Library (in Iowa) by me, Ryan, with the help of my wonderful fellow librarians. Hi!

One time, a big balloon-shark got away at the library and got stuck on the ceiling (maybe 40 feet high). It took a lot of creativity and teamwork for us to get it down. It was probably the most fun I had all year. (Spoiler: Filling another balloon with helium that you happen to have laying around and putting some REALLY strong, double-sided tape on top to grab the shark with works fantastically.) 

When people see a simple problem, they almost can't help but start to try to think of ways to solve it and it can be so satisfying when a clever idea works.

Play by yourself or with friends. Hopefully, this will generate a problem you get invested in solving. Everything you try has a chance to fail (no retrying the same things!) so that you are forced to keep thinking of new solutions.
